Requirements
Educational Background
Completion of a Waldorf teacher training program and or a bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
Personal Qualities
Strong commitment to the principles of Waldorf education.
Ability to foster a nurturing and supportive classroom environment.
Creativity and enthusiasm for teaching.
Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Professional Skills
Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate pedagogy.
Ability to integrate arts, crafts, music, and movement into the curriculum.
Strong organisational and classroom management skills.
Proficiency in creating lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
Experience
Prior teaching experience, preferably in a Waldorf or similar educational setting.
Experience in working with children in various capacities (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, coaching).
Continued Professional Development
Commitment to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning.
Participation in workshops, conferences, and seminars related to Waldorf education.
Group Tutor
Place of Work:, Green Oak Home Education, Stanmer House, Stanmer Park, BN1 9QA
Times of Work: Tuesday - Thursday, 9.00am to 3.45pm, 36 weeks per year, plus additional
preparation and planning time
Remuneration: TO DISCUSS
Contract: Permanent after initial probationary period

Primary Responsibilities
Group Tutors are responsible for holding an allocated Tutor Group which may include students of varying ages and abilities.
Group Tutors will teach the Main Lesson curriculum, with advice and support for both delivery and lesson planning being available via Peer Tutors and the Yellow Book ‘The Educational Task and Content of the Steiner Waldorf Curriculum’.
